Cavalier king charles spaniel
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a loving, kind, and lively companion dog.
The breed is curious by nature and will be "where it happens". Do not be afraid to include us in your activities, whether it is a trip to the store or a long forest hike.
If we are raised well, we will be confident and brave, but with a sense of affectionate snuggling. This makes us fit for families, as we love children by nature.
We are active and playful dogs
To make us happy, we must be allowed to partake in most of your activities. Despite our modest size, we have a lot of energy. Never be afraid to bring us on hikes!
our of us enjoy participating in dog sports, such as agility, freestyle, tracking, or obedience. Remember, we need mental challenges so we can stimulate our smart little brains.
We obviously require less physical stimuli than a Siberian Husky does. As long as you give us daily walks, and play a lot with us, you will get a happy dog. We are not particularly dominant and therefore usually get along well with other dogs.
Our coat requires relatively little care - it usually lasts to brush through the coat at regular intervals. However, the fur behind our ears can tangle quickly, so be particularly consistent with brushing there.

This is what a Cavalier King Charles spaniel sounds like
A small dog makes a lot of noise, do you think? We do not blame you if you believe it. Some small dogs have powerful voices and are not afraid to use it.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are not typically whiny dogs. With the right training, you can get a quiet dog that only barks sporadically.
Health issues
It is no secret that some of us suffer from health problems. It is a result of breeding with a focus on appearance, and little focus on health. Some of us have too small of a skull in relation to the size of our brains. This leads to high pressure and the accompanying constant headaches right from birth. More or less, our sculls become too small for our heads.
Others struggle with heart problems which can shorten life expectancy considerably.
In other words, finding a serious breeder will pay off!
Healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs can have a life expectancy of 10-15 years.
